The warthog(A-10) has got a good life until his first combat at the gulf war in the storm desert operation at today. The A-10 has been removed for the new f-35 but this new plane didn't have the equipment to replace it. The A-10 has got a Gau 8 avenger the most powerful gatiling gun (tankbuster) Nicknamed for their potential to destroy tanks.
It is true that the A-10 can't carry nuclear bombs but it can carry a lots of differt guns than the f-35.
The f-35 is one of the new jets of 5 generation with new tecnologies, I hope the USAF has opted for the new jet.
Although for me the A-10 warthog will always be the best support plane in the world.
